External walkways

  • Surface from the car park to internal walkways are both tarmac and shingle surface, over a mixture of flat and contoured ground.
  • There is a single pedestrian shingle route exiting the marina onto the river Avon towpath via a locked gate operated with a keypad.
  • Our pontoons are designed to ‘rise and fall’ depending on river levels as a protection against flooding.
  • Depending on the river level the gradient of these walkways/access ramps can be rather steep, this may make access difficult for some electric scooters (please check manufacturer guidance) and un-assisted wheelchair users.
  • Boaters with mobility issues are encouraged to moor in berths 40 – 48 which are nearest to the main walkway/access ramp leading to the marinas facilities.
  • We actively discourage obstacles being placed on any of the pontoons and walkways at all times for the benefit and safety of all.
